Digital Chinese whispers is a game for strangers, where they instead of transmitting a message should transmit a movement. The game is augmented through the use of digital tools such as the micro:bit. The micro:bit was programmed to recognize the rotation. Based on the movement, it played different sounds and showed different emotions as smiley faces.

The project was developed during the the Urban Play Design Camp. The camp was part of Trust in Play / The European School of Urban Game Design, and was organized by the research group Play & Civic Media and the Digital Society School (DSS) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
